Guyana defeats Jamaica by five wickets

Guyana defeated Jamaica by five wickets yesterday in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Super50 Championship at the St. Paul’s Sports Complex in Basseterre. St. Kitts and Nevis.

Batting first, the Jamaicans were skittled out for 72 in 27.1 overs, with Rashada Williams and Chedean Nation the top scorers with 31 and 20 runs, respectively. For the bowlers, Ashmini Munisar recorded figures of 3-11 in six overs, while Nyia Latchman and Sheneta Grimmond recorded figures of 2-1 and 2-20 apiece.

In response, the Guyanese stormed to 74/5 in 17.4 overs. Mandy Mangru and Shemaine Campbelle led the chase with 24 and 21 runs, respectively.
