North Ruimveldt, Dolphin Secondary record victories in Milo Schools Football

North Ruimveldt and Dolphin Secondary recorded hard-fought wins when the Milo Secondary School U-18 Football Championship continued yesterday.

Staged at the Queen’s College ground, Thomas Lands and Dolphin Secondary defeated Leonora 2-1. Jason Sandiford handed Dolphin Secondary the initial lead in the 29th minute. However, D’Alessandro Valenzuela levelled proceedings in the 40th minute.

Nonetheless, Jamol Williams recorded what proved to be the go-ahead winner in the 44th minute.

Over at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, North Ruimveldt downed Bush Lot 2-0. Two goals in the space of nine minutes secured the vital result. Mikkel Mills opened the scoring in the 30th minute, before Jarrel Smith found the back of the net in the 41st minute.

The event continues today with another round of matches at the same venues.
