Gold is Money, North East La Penitence secure semi-final berths

A scene from the quarterfinal action in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Georgetown championship

Two-time defending champion Gold is Money will take aim at Laing Avenue, while North East La Penitence faces off against North Ruimveldt in the semi-final round of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Georgetown Championship after quarterfinal wins on Saturday evening.

Staged at the National Park tarmac in Thomas Lands, the West Front Road-based Gold is Money outfit overcame Albouystown Warriors 2-1 via a ‘Guinness Goal’ [a goal scored in the final three minutes of normal time counts as two] in the 39th minute by Shemar Koulen.
