GCB questions CWI selection criteria following Munisar, Millington, and Gajnabi snub

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has expressed its disappointment in the non-selection of the Guyanese trio of Ashmini Munisar, Plaffiana Millington, and Shabika Gajnabi for the West Indies women’s team tour of Pakistan and is questioning the criteria used for selection.

This was disclosed via a post on the entity’s official Facebook page yesterday. According to the post, the GCB contends that the trio, who were standout performers in the recently concluded CWI Blaze T20 and Super50 Cup tournaments, should have been selected.

The West Indies women’s team, which features two Guyanese, comprises: Hayley Matthews (captain), [Guyanese] Shemaine Campbelle (vice-captain), Aaliyah Alleyne, Shamilia Connell, Afy Fletcher, [Guyanese] Cherry Ann Fraser, Jannillea Glasgow, Chinelle Henry, Zaida James, Qiana Joseph, Chedean Nation, Karishma Ramharack, Stafanie Taylor, Rashada Williams, and Kate Wilmott
