Classic! Kemol Savory unleashes a beautiful drive through the cover region for a boundary en route to his century.

Guyana Harpy Eagles wicketkeeper batsman Kemol Savory recorded an unbeaten 127 to rescue the defending champion from the perilous position of 61/6, as they ended the first day on 278/6 against hosts the Jamaica Scorpions at Sabina Park.

Savory came to the crease with Guyana at 17-3 in the 14th over and eventually recorded his second first-class century. He was supported by Gudakesh Motie, who played a brilliant lower-order innings of 56 (8x4s, 1×6) from 86 balls.

He and Gudakesh Motie then produced a counter-attacking stand of 127 for the seventh wicket, which shifted the momentum back to the Eagles.
