Waramuri, President’s College, West Ruimveldt secure quarterfinal berths

Waramuri, President’s College, West Ruimveldt, and Anns Grove will round out the final eight teams in the quarterfinal section following wins in the round of 16 segment yesterday in the Milo Secondary Schools U-18 Football Championship at the Ministry of Education (MOE) ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Waramuri mauled Yarrowkabra 10-0. Zundel Abrams recorded a helmet trick in the ninth, 24th, 26th, and 51st minutes, while Odell Holmes tallied a hat trick in the fourth, 28th, and 34th minutes. Adding one goal each were Denzil Abrams, Marcus Smith, and Rondell Peters in the 13th, 43rd, and 57th minutes, respectively.

On the other hand, West Ruimveldt bested North Ruimveldt 3-1. Elijah Sattaur bagged a second-half brace in the 63rd and 75th minutes, while Donovan Welcome netted in the 23rd. For the loser, Carlos Joseph scored in the 40th minute.
