The Guyanese sit on 114/1 after dismissing the Marooners for 200 in 55.5 overs, with Raymond Perez unbeaten on 61 and Kevlon Anderson undefeated on 27. Tagenarine Chanderpaul was dismissed for 12.

Guyana’s dominant position was engineered by their bowling lineup, as Nial Smith was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-42, while the experienced Veerasammy Permaul snared 3-51. Chipping in with figures of 2-40 and 2-45, respectively, were Gudakesh Motie and Isai Thorne.
