GCA 1st Division 2-Day Championship
– Dowlin, Barnwell record tons
After winning the toss yesterday, the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) continued their outrageous form with the bat by amassing 495/4 on day one of their Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/GISE/Star Rentals/Trophy Stall 1st Division 2-day match against Transport Sports Club.
Staged at the DCC ground, the massive innings were fuelled by centuries from experienced all-rounders Christopher Barnwell (101 retired hurt) and Jayden Dowlin (104 not out), while opener Sachin Singh (96) missed out on a century with spinner Steven Sankar plundering 82 in the DCC innings.
