Vlissengen Square victim died of multiple stab wounds – autopsy

An autopsy performed by government pathologist, Dr Nehaul Singh on the body of Shawn George, the 52-year-old man who was stabbed to death during a scuffle on Wednesday night, has disclosed that he died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

On Wednesday night, George was stabbed at around 5 pm during an altercation with another man, a 34-year-old resident of West Ruimveldt, in front of a shop located at Vlissengen Square, George-town.

Inquiries revealed that the victim was at the shop sitting on a bench, when the assailant rode past on a motorcycle and verbally abused him. George shouted back at the suspect, telling him that he (the suspect) should repeat the insult to his face.
