Lusignan prisoner charged with murder of fellow inmate

Shamar Davis called ‘Stamma’, a 23-year-old of Lot 56 B Field, Sophia, Georgetown, and currently a prisoner at the Lusignan Prison, appeared before Magistrate Orinthia Schmidt at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where he was charged with the murder of fellow inmate 23-year-old Anthony Prince. Davis was not required to plead and was remanded until June 6th.Prince was allegedly fatally stabbed by Davis during a fight which occurred on March 30, at about 13:50 hours in Block 3 of the New Building at the Lusignan Prison.

 Investigations revealed that Prince and Davis, who shared the same cell, were awaiting water to shower when an argument ensued between them.
