Walter Stapleton, the 81-year-old who died in San Juan, Puerto Rico after falling ill on a Delta Airways flight on Tuesday had been on his way to New York for a check-up, relatives say.
Relatives say he fell into a coma while on Delta flight DAL 384. The flight was diverted to San Juan and he was taken to a hospital there where he succumbed. Arrangements had to be made for the passengers to be accommodated on other New York flights.
