Two policemen who went missing on Sunday were today found dead in the North Pakaraimas area, Region Eight.
Confirmed dead are Constables Marlon Letlow, age 34, and Leadon Aaron, age 25.
The duo left the Kato Police Station on patrol duties on an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on Sunday but did not return. Late last night a Brazilian national spotted an ATV along a trail. It had turned turtle and its headlights were still one.
The man also later reported to police that he spotted blood on the vehicle but did not see anyone.
The bodies of the men were later found and there are reportedly signs that their deaths were not accidental.
