Four-acre ganja farm destroyed along Demerara River

During today, the police say they conducted drug eradication operations at Hauraruni Creek and Kamuni Creek, Demerara River.

A total of about 4 acres of marijuana plants, between 3 feet and 10 feet in height, were found and destroyed along with 200 kilograms of dried marijuana, approximately 10,000 seedlings, and two camps, police said.

Two men were arrested and are in police custody. Charges will be made shortly.
