Sophia man shot in neck during robbery

At about 1700h yesterday, police say that Oliver Mohamed, 42 years, of ‘D’ Field, Sophia, was on the roadway at Sophia when he was attacked by a man armed with a firearm, who took away his jewellery and $300.00 and escaped.

Mohamed was shot to his neck during the robbery and has been admitted to hospital.

Investigations are in progress, police say.
