Two men were killed this evening and another is fighting for his life after they were shot by the police.
The dead men have been identified as Albouystown residents Mark Anthony Joseph and Jermaine Canterbury called ‘Chow’.
The third man, Mario Gouveia is injured and has a wound to his face.
There are conflicting reports about what actually took place but this newspaper understands that the car the trio were in came under fire from police on South Road. Reports are that it started in the vicinity of Demerara Bank and ended in front of K & VC Hotel.
This newspaper was told that police were trailing the vehicle before dozens of shots were heard.
