At about 0130h. today, police say that three men, one armed with a firearm and the others with knives, entered a shop at Mango Landing, Essequibo River, and held up the owner Linden Mc Almont, 50 years, of Annandale, ECD, and his wife Maureen Mc Almont.
During the incident, police say that Mc Almont was shot to his body and his wife was robbed of her jewellery by the perpetrators who escaped.
Mc Almont was pronounced DOA at the Mahdia Hospital Mortuary.
Investigations are in progress.
