Liverpool man shot in argument over cattle theft

At about 1830h. yesterday, the police say that Mark Simon, 29 years, of Liverpool, Corentyne, was involved in an argument with another man at Liverpool, over the alleged larceny of cattle, during which he was shot to his back and right foot and also chopped to his right foot.

He has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested as yet, police said.

Investigations are in progress.
