Albion Front man dies after stabbing

About 0010h. today, the police say that Surendra Nauth, 29 years; and his brother-in-law Totaram Bhola, 25 years, both of Albion Front, Corentyne, were involved in an argument at Williamsburg, Corentyne, with a man who had allegedly slashed a tyre of their motor vehicle.

During the argument, the police say that the man attacked them with a knife and stabbed Nauth to his abdomen and also inflicted a wound to the forehead of Bhola.

They were admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital where Nauth later succumbed to his injury, the police said.

The suspect has not yet been arrested. He was recently released from prison where he had served a sentence on a charge of wounding.

Investigations are in progress.
