City says massive clean-up planned

The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown today said that it would be conducting a massive cleanup exercise on Sunday 25, June 2016 commencing at 7:00am, in the Central Business District.

In a statement it said that all vendors operating within the precincts of the City are expected to participate in this activity. Therefore, no selling would be allowed on Regent, Water, Commerce, Robb and other areas where vending is usually carried on.

“Vendors are reminded that this exercise forms a part of the agreement made with Council that vendors would cooperate with Council to maintain the aesthetics of the environment this includes cleaning the areas where they operate on the last Sunday of every month”, the city said.
