Salvia

Salvia divinorum commonly called Salvia originated in Mexico and is grown throughout the world now. It has adapted well in Guyana and the Caribbean.

Salvia is a colourful annual that is grown from seeds. There are hundreds of varieties of Salvia on the market including new hybrids.

Salvia produces colourful flowers in rich red, purple and coral. It likes to grow in rich, well-drained soil in full sunlight.

Salvia is a gardener’s favourite. It makes awesome bedding, border or potted plants.

Salvia seedlings are available at plant shops and nurseries.

Until next week, Happy Gardening.
