Lotteries money paid into Consolidated Fund

A sum of roughly $12M from the Guyana Lotteries Company was deposited in the Consolidated Fund in December.

Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh, in a written response yesterday to a question tabled in Parliament in the name of PNCR-1G MP Volda Lawrence, said the amount of $11,870,989 was paid into the Consolidated Fund on December 29.

The PNCR-1G and others have continually criticised government for alleged breaches of the constitution, by failing to pay lotto funds into the Consolidated Fund.
