Dear Editor,

Allow me to join in commending Nicolette Fernandes for her rewarding contribution on the international circuit in the sports discipline of “Squash” just recently.

Guyana has tremendous talent and potential in other sports disciplines and I can only wish that we can acknowledge this and make bigger contributions whether monetary or moral support.

I say to those athletes, don’t despair, but should opportunities knock on your doors to be elsewhere in making your dreams a reality, pursue them with pride and dignity and don’t allow Guyana to be the limit for you.

Nicolette, continue with your achievements and as you climb the ladder to success, stay focused.
