Digicel appoints Dean Guyana CEO

Digicel recently appointed Gregory Dean its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Guyana and Mark Linehan CEO for Digicel Jamaica.

Gregory DeanIn a press release Digicel said Dean joined the Guyana team last year as Chief Financial Officer and has played a pivotal role in the company’s success over the last year as part of the Senior Management Team.

In making the announcements Digicel Group CEO Kevin White said both Dean and Linehan “are great assets” to the company. “I am confident that they will continue the tremendous work and spearhead the local management teams in our Jamaica and Guyana operations,” he said.

Commenting on his appointment Dean said having worked closely with Linehan over the past year he was looking forward to building on the success of Digicel Guyana.

Meanwhile, Digicel said Linehan has been with the company for six years and as CEO of Guyana operations “he has led the business to become the market leader      in mobile communications within one year.”  Prior to the CEO post he held a number of senior positions in the company where he played an instrumental role in launching and developing Digicel operations in the OECS, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti and French Guyana.

Regarding his new appointment Linehan said he enjoying working in Guyana over the past year and was confident that Dean would “continue to lead this tremendous team in delivering the best mobile products and services.”
