New attorney admitted to bar

Another new attorney-at-law was admitted to the bar last week before Acting Chief Justice Ian Chang.
Neil Persram, who will be attached to the Chambers of Ramjattan and Associates was admitted to the practice of law on Monday last.

Persram obtained his LL.B. degree from the University of Guyana and Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. Prior to this, he had obtained a B.Sc. in mathematics and biology from the University of Alberta, and had worked as a conveyancer, underwriter, claims adjuster, trade commissioner in the Canadian High Commission and businessman.

He thanked Justice Chang for accepting his petition and Senior Counsel Ralph Ramkarran for presenting it. He also expressed gratitude to his parents, sister, wife and two daughters and many friends, relatives, well-wishers and others for their support.
