Testing Out

Members of the Guyana Fire Service demonstrate the use of a new fire tender at the Ogle Airport. General-Secretary of CARICOM, Edwin Carrington handed over the state-of-the-art tender yesterday as part of an agreement between CARICOM and South Korea. The tender is for the Guyana Fire Service’s Ogle Airport unit. According to a CARICOM press release, Chief Executive Officer of Ogle Airport Inc. Anthony Mekdeci said that the tender and the highly trained service offered by the GFS would raise the Ogle Airport to a Category Five standard. (Jules Gibson photo)
