Dear Editor,
Wouldn’t it be gobsmacking if Barack Obama decides, at the last minute, to step aside in favour of Hillary Clinton?  Who would blame him, having regard to the young men found with rifles, bullet-proof vests, etc, one of them confessing to an assassination plot against him.  After all, he has a young family to consider.  With Senator Biden as Senator Obama’s chosen VP, everything should be ‘neat.’

Hillary Clinton’s speech was impressive, subtle and promised much on the part of Barack Obama –“…in the White House, he’ll revitalize our economy, defend the working people of America, and meet the global challenges of our times. Democrats know how to do this. As I recall, we did it before with President Clinton and the Democrats.  And if we do our part, we’ll do it again with President Obama and the Democrats…”
Ever loyal to her husband and the party, she felt impelled to emphasise the part played by both in the country’s fortunes.
Yours faithfully,
Geralda Dennison
