Dangerous squibs selling in our markets

Dear Editor,

There are some very dangerous squibs selling in most of our markets countrywide. These squibs can be very dangerous if they are used without proper guidance and control; some of them can shatter the glass windows of houses and vehicles and can cause severe injury to people.

It was observed on Diwali night that persons were using these squibs for fun, shooting at each other’s house as if they were playing war.

As the Christmas season is fast approaching steps should be taken by the relevant authorities to have these dangerous squibs be removed from our markets − imagine these squibs exploding over your roofs and in your yards, especially when there are babies and old folks around.

Please get these squibs out of our markets so we can have a peaceful and quiet Christmas season.

Yours faithfully,
Raymond Cummings
