Dear Editor,
GEB Security Services Inc would like to publicly express our appreciation to the Guyana Police Force and all those other officers for the highly professional execution of duties by the squad of officers who were involved in apprehending the criminals and actually recovering the payroll intact in the recent robbery involving the GuySuCo payroll operation.

The success of this operation has indeed highlighted the following:
1.  The close collaboration and virtual instant communication between private security companies and the police with joint service involvement.  Communication technology has significantly improved our ability to communicate directly with law enforcement agencies and secure back-up when under criminal attack.

2.  The quick action of law enforcement officers resulted not only in the apprehension of the suspects, but also the retrieval of the funds stolen and weapons.  This has definitely sent a strong deterrent message to the criminal elements.

We look forward to the private security industry, ie The Guyana Association of Private Security Organiza-tions (GAPSO) and the Guyana Police Force’s continued efforts in working together to enhance and enforce security in our society for the protection of all law-abiding citizens.
Yours faithfully,
Maurice Amres
Chief Executive Officer
GEB Security Services
Inc
