Edy’s ice cream parlour is welcome

Dear Editor,

On several occasions, we would have foreign guests, or even as a family, we feel at times like going out to get some quality ice cream, only to find that there is no such place in Guyana, especially at night.

While I like to support local, the products should have the requisite taste and quality and the local ice creams cannot match up. Plus, the environment of the parlours is not conducive to pleasant family groupings. Some are infested with drug addicts and creatures of the night.

I wish to extend hearty congratulations to Mr Nasir of Bakewell, whose brainchild it was to bring Nestlé’s  Edy’s ice-cream to Guyana.  His environment is most pleasant, attractive and the products are excellent and known world-wide. Mr Nasir’s knack for quality and excellent management are well known.

I wonder what is the next exciting venture he has up his sleeve that will help in employment and the development of our beloved Guyana.

Yours faithfully,
Roshan Khan
