On Sunday, November 30, 2008, Arrowhead Promotions staged Accolade – the music awards of Guyana, at the National Cultural Centre.

In the entertainment television personality category of the year, where local talent is featured, undoubtedly Mr Parmanand Sukhu should have been the choice. Mr Sukhu makes sure that the local artistes get an avenue to showcase their talents and his programme, Sangeet Ki Raat has caused many of the local stars to be recognized. For over fifteen years Mr Parmanand Sukhu has been promoting local artistes via his television programme, in the fields of entertainment, arts and culture, religion and drama.
