20090620ugpresentationGafsons Industries Limited donated nine, 450-gallon water tanks and fittings to the University of Guyana (UG) to boost water supply at the Turkeyen Campus. According to a press release Gafsons Group Store Manager Mark Harris made the presentation to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Tota Mangar in the company of store and UG officials including Imtiaz Gafoor and Nazir Haniff and Director, Office of Resource Mobilisation and Planning at UG Dr Marlene Cox and staff of the Maintenance Division.
In his presentation Harris said the donation was coming at a time when the company, like other local and international businesses, was experiencing financial challenges. However, he said the donation was a demonstration of Gafsons corporate responsiveness and commitment to the university.
