The ravaged house of Tiffany Lamazon can be seen in this photo as flames finish their mission of destruction some time before 9 pm on Tuesday. A Samatta Point, East Bank Demerara resident who lives close to Lamazon’s home told this newspaper yesterday afternoon that the young woman and two younger cousins had lived in the two-storey wooden house. The blaze, of unknown origin, erupted some time around 8 pm on Tuesday and efforts made by the fire department to save the structure were futile. Stabroek News understands that Lamazon’s father, to whom the house belongs, recently left the country. The house, the resident reported, was burnt in a short period of time.
