Police should not allow protestors to wear masks

Dear Editor,
From 1992, when the PPP/Civic was elected democratically to legal and legitimate office, the PNC and its spokespersons and sympathizers embarked on a continuous propaganda campaign, on a range of manufactured or created ‘ issues’ which are played and replayed, and recycled, especially when they want to embark on unlawful and violent activities.

We hear of a litany of woes, which seem to affect and apply only to their supporters and nobody else, and which they claim are deliberately inflicted on them by the government.

Other groups complain about difficulties and hardships but they claim victimization and marginalization by the government but these claims are unjustified and unsubstantiated.

Now, they want to embark on another round of ‘peaceful’ street protests and this time they want to wear masks, so they cannot be photographed and identified, because of an alleged fear of victimization by the government, which is absurd, to say the least.

This is good news for the criminals, of course, giving them opportunities to loot, rob, etc. The police must not permit this to happen.
Yours faithfully,
John Da Silva
