Harry Narine Nawbatt will be Guyana’s new High Commissioner to Canada.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today said that the Government of Canada has granted Agrément to the Government of Guyana for his appointment.
Nawbatt will succeed Rajnarine Singh.
Nawbatt was appointed as Ambassador to Brazil in November 2008 where he is currently serving.
He served briefly as Minister of Housing and Water.
He is expected to take up his appointment in Canada shortly.
