Dear Editor,
It is good to see pressure being put on the Guyana government by the UK, Canada and other governments for an independent inquiry into the notorious phantom squad.
Already we see hop-scotch in relation to the Twyon Thomas torture and we can be sure that there will be more to come from a government renowned for closing ranks, denials, lies and cover-ups of every sinister situation in which it finds itself.
The strategy here will be as always to wait it out until the pressure eases and some greater tragedy unfolds.
Remember, ‘Moon a run til day ketch um.’
Yours faithfully,
Bernard Ramsay
