GFF Super Eight competition wraps up tonight

The final of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super Eight knockout competition will wrap up tonight with the final and third place showdown set to be contested at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground from 6pm.

In the opening match the well composed Guyana Defence Force (GDF) team will take on Sunburst Camptown in the third place playoff while Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United will oppose Victoria Kings in the final at 8pm.

The tournament was scheduled to conclude last Sunday, but heavy rainfall over the weekend made the ground  unfit for play and the games were postponed.

Meanwhile, the second round of the Men’s Super League will commence next Sunday with five games at four venues.

At the Uitvlugt Ground Seawall FC will face Alpha United at 4pm; Rosignol United goes up against Liquid Gold at their home Ground in Bartica at 6pm and GDF meet Sunburst Camptown at the GFC ground from 6pm.
Enmore hosts the first double header of round which kicks off at 2pm with Victoria Kings facing Bakewell Top XX while Buxton United and Milerock will meet in the feature clash at 4pm.
