Linden store owner ‘Bolo’ shot during robbery

A Linden man was robbed and shot in his store this afternoon by a lone gunman.

Albert Joseph called “Bolo” of 68 Sunflower Street, Wismar, Linden is being treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen at the Linden Hospital Complex.

The robbery took place at Joseph’s store, Bolo’s Variety and General Store at 4:50 pm today. Joseph was sitting outside the cashier’s booth while his daughter Lauren Joseph was inside the booth.

According to Lauren, the store was empty when the gunman walked in and started waving his gun and demanding money. Her father handed over his gold chain he was wearing and was reaching for his cell phone and money in his pocket when he was shot by the bandit.

The gunman made good his escape and Joseph was rushed to the hospital.
