Sheila Holder was a hard-working, committed advocate for parliamentary democracy

Dear Editor,
The passing of a dedicated public figure in the prime of life is not only a great loss to the immediate family but the society at large.
I would like to express my sincerest condolences to her family and pray that the Good Lord would comfort them at this particular time.

Mrs Holder was a hardworking and committed advocate in promoting parliamentary democracy and the rights of consumers at the grass-root level. She was also an ardent protagonist for the recognition and equitable access to women’s rights.

Mrs Holder was a humble and approachable individual whose decorum reflected simplicity and mutual respect in her interactions with people. She would be long remembered as a lady who stood up and spoke out for socio-economic development within a participative democratic framework.

Her memory will live on and may her soul rest in peace.
Yours faithfully,
