Eleven-year-old Onessa Leach won a brand new Lenovo laptop

Eleven-year-old Onessa Leach won a brand new Lenovo laptop in the Trinchloro Poster Promotion for the Grade 6 students of Beterverwagting Primary School, which was held as part of Ansa MCAL Trading Limited’s 20th anniversary celebrations. Ganesh Hardatt, 11, won a gift voucher valued $30,000 as the second prize, while Makeila Stewart, 10, won a gift voucher valued $20,000 as the third prize.
The pupils were required to draw posters depicting the uses of Trinchloro bleach in and around the home. The competition was done to encourage the artistic capability of the grade 6 students at BV primary, also to show the many uses of the product.

Preliminary Report on Drop-In Centre fire handed over

The Preliminary Report of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) to probe the fire at the Hadfield Street Drop In Centre, which resulted in the deaths of two young children, was today handed over to Minister of State,  Joseph Harmon, at the Ministry of the Presidency by Commissioner, Retired Colonel Windee Algernon.
