Scrap metal dealer denies stealing minibus battery

A scrap metal dealer who allegedly stole a minibus battery was yesterday placed on $35,000 bail by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Keon Crandon, 32, of 86 Hill Street, Albouystown, denied the charge which stated that between July 25 and 26 at Georgetown, he stole a minibus battery valued $27,000, property of Lyndon Isaacs.

Crandon, unrepresented by counsel, made an application for bail, and the prosecution had no objection.

Bail was subsequently granted in the sum of $35,000 and the matter was transferred to Court Ten for September 10.
