Police Lance Corporal Huford David was this morning charged with one count of trafficking in person for sexual exploitation and has been remanded to prison until May 2.
The case against the 36-year-old is that he committed the offence between January 1 and 31 at Kuma Kuma Mazaruni River on a 14-year-old girl.
The teen is among four girls who were rescued by members of the Guyana Women Miners Organisation over the weekend.
