A 22-year-old man was granted bail when he appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce in the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court last week charged with receiving a stolen $1.3M gold band.
It is alleged that on January 6, at Anna Regina Back Street, Kevin Smith received a gold band valued $1.3 million from Denis Simon. The band, which reportedly contained 14 diamonds, was the property of Ravi Ramroop.
The magistrate granted Smith $150,000 bail and ordered him to appear in court on February 25.
