Residents hold fake cop at No.50 Village

During last night, the police say that two men attempted to gain entry into a home at No.50 Village, Corentyne, under the pretext that they were policemen.

Police said that the owner peeped out at them and suspecting that they were not police ranks, he raised an alarm. Neighbouring residents responded and they caught one of the men who has been handed over to the police.

The other man escaped, police say.
