Diamond man dies after crashing into pole

At about 6.45 am today, police say that John Teixeira, 70, of Diamond, East Bank Demerara was driving a vehicle along the Diamond Access Road when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
