Gunmen in car shoot woman on Garnett St

At about 0255h. today, police say that, Malika Da Silva, 26 years, of David Street, Subryanville, was in a motor vehicle with other relatives outside a house at  Garnett Street, Campbellville, when a motor car with four men drove up.

Two of the men who were armed with firearms exited the vehicle. As they were approaching, police say that Da Silva attempted to drive away and the men opened fire hitting her to the chest. Neighbouring residents came out and the suspects drove away. Da Silva was been admitted to Hospital for medical treatment. Investigations are in progress.
