Miner dies after accident

At about 1000h. yesterday, police say that miner Leonard Raymond, 37 years, of Micobe, Potaro, was in the tray of a motor pick-up vehicle along with four other men when the vehicle turned turtle while the driver was negotiating a turn in the trail.

Raymond and the four others suffered injuries and were taken to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, while the others were treated and sent away.

The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
