Madray not associated with Maha Kali Madrasiee religious organization

Dear Editor,

We read in this newspaper that Satrohan Madray who operated a Kali Temple at his home at D’Edward, West Bank Berbice, was arrested and subsequently charged with murdering his friend, Dinesh ‘Kevin’ Harrylall.

We, the executive members of the Guyana Maha Kali Madrasiee religious organization are saddened at what happened. We wish to inform the general public and other religious organizations in Guyana that we are not affiliated with the events that occurred on February 16.

We would also like to make it clear that Mr Madray and those involved are in no way associated with our organization.

He is in fact, the head ‘pujarie’ (spiritualist) and founder of the Mari Mama-Maa Maha Kali Temple.

Yours faithfully,

Jagnarine Edwards
