Sunburst Secondary schools U-17 starts today

The finale of the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA)-sanctioned Sunburst Secondary schools under-17 tourney starts today at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court.

In the feature match at 4.30pm, Christianburg/Wismar Secondary led by the trident of Akini Wilson, Dellon Patterson and Daniel Lee will contend with Mackenzie High School and their quartet of Daniel Anthony, Allister Lewis, Tyrese Mitchell and Yannick Tappin in an eagerly anticipated match-up. The opening third place playoff at 3pm will see the Branley Griffith and Wayne Wilson-led New Silver City Secondary battling Linden Foundation Secondary and their trio of Isaiah Semple, Nigel Powell and Isaiah Haynes in what promises to be an exciting affair. Presentation of the respective trophies will be held on the conclusion of the doubleheader.
