Michael Singh quits basketball

Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) Vice President and Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) President Michael Singh has officially tendered his resignation from all facets of Basketball locally.

In an email sent to various basketball-related individuals, Singh said “With all the events happening around Basketball within the last 48 hours and prior, it’s with great regret that I tender my resignation from all aspects of basketball in Guyana”.

Singh who is also President of the Colts Basketball Club further said “Over the past two years, I have worked feverishly to resuscitate and bring back basketball without significant sponsorship, because of my love for the game, making it harder to accept, when parties attempt to discredit and degrade us as administrators”.

He declared “To my President of the GABF and loyal friend, keep the fight up, I don’t know a better man for the job. In six months you were able to field two teams to the CBC games, I know it was a task”.

“To my affiliates and teams, thank you for your support and assistance, I wish you the best in the future” added Singh.
