According to a Stabroek Rotary press release, the furniture was handed over by Stabroek Rotary President Anand Harilall to the principal of St Joseph’s High School, Nathram Raghubansi at a simple ceremony at the school.

Raghubansi expressed his gratitude to Stabroek Rotary, noting the project’s potential impact on the students.

According to the release, the project is larger than the provision of desks, and includes complete renovation of the school library and provision of chairs, tables, a bag bay, bookshelves, books and electronic storage media.

The club is willing to enlist other partners in this project. Persons or organisations interested in contributing are asked to contact Luana Falconer on 623-2104.
